I don’t know what you are going through in your life right now, but I am here to let you know that God See’s You! Maybe you have felt very unseen lately or maybe you are going through a tough circumstance. Wherever you stand I am writing this to remind you that no matter what you may be facing or how you may be feeling, GOD SEES YOU! Not only does God see you but he LOVES you. Tough circumstances can make us feel like God doesn’t see us or understand what we are going through but we should not be moved by our feelings. Instead, we are to stand on the Word of God which says he is a very present help (Psalm 46:1) and that he is the God that sees!!!!! In Genesis 16 God reveals himself as the God who sees to a woman named Hagar. Hagar is pregnant and running away from her mistress after being treated unfairly/harshly. You might be wondering why this is important but image how she must have felt. She ran into the wilderness pregnant and with nothing, she was clearly in a tough circumstance. Yet in the wilderness God shows Hagar that he sees her & what she is going through. Here is her response to God showing up for her:
Genesis 16:13
“Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, “You are God Who Sees”; for she said, “Have I not even here [in the wilderness] remained alive after seeing Him [who sees me with understanding and compassion]?””
If you are feeling unseen or going through a difficult circumstance you can cling to the fact that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow (Hebrews 13:8). That means that if he found Hagar in the wilderness many years ago, he can certainly find you right where you are and If God seen Hagar crying many years ago, he certainly see’s what you are going through today. Friend, hear me when I say this: God sees you & he loves you. He loves you so much that he sent his son to die for you. If this love was willing to die for you surely, he cares about every detail of your life. Today, I am praying that you experience God’s love in ways you never have.
